Renault rules the waves with new livery
Never in the history of F1 and probably never again! The new Renault Sport Formula One Team livery was launched at an event in Melbourne, just before the start of the 2016 Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix, the first race of the Formula 1 season – and it all happened on a surf board.
The highly distinctive new livery features liquid yellow-gold and black, the corporate colours of Renault Sport, harking back to the first F1 Renault in 1977, as well as some matt white as used on the Clio R.S Trophy, emphasising the connection between Renault Sport Cars and Renault Sport Racing. Design elements include a diamond pattern and gold flashes, whilst the metallic finish will make the R.S.16 F1 car stand out at night. Take a look at the video to see how the R.S.16 behaved on a surf board as it rode the waves into Boat Harbour Park beach just outside Sydney. The video was shown at the launch event in Melbourne and was designed to capture the spirit of adventure epitomised by Renault’s production models like the Captur and KADJAR. Good luck to the Renault Sport Formula One Team for the coming season!
