What is Motability? The Motability Scheme was established to give drivers with a disability and their families greater independence and mobility. By exchanging part or all of your mobility allowance, you can enjoy the freedom that comes with a brand new car, adapted to your needs. Your payments also cover such as insurance, maintenance, breakdown cover and more.
Am I Applicable? If you’re in receipt of one of the following allowances, you could be eligible for the Scheme. You must have at least 12 months’ award length on your allowance.
• Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
• Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC DLA)
• War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
• Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
• Higher Rate Mobility Component of Child Disability Payment
