A zero-emission electric alternative
The Hyundai NEXO is greener than a hybrid/plug-in hybrid equivalent and bears comparison with a fully electric car because the only thing it emits is water. What’s more, it offers a fuel range of up to 414 miles while delivering a super-comfortable and serene ride
Inside, there’s more than enough room to accommodate a young family of five or four full-size adults. Front-row travellers are treated to heated, ventilated and adjustable positions that offer plenty of support. What’s more, the NEXO possesses a minimum-capacity 471-litre boot which features a flat floor and a load-through slot that’s ideal for incorporating extra-long cargo.
The NEXO is a family SUV whose compact body style makes it ideal in busy urban environments. Boasting a futuristic design that reflects the technology used to power it, it’s very easy on the eye while standing out from its competitors.
The NEXO's fuel cell system uses oxygen and hydrogen to create electricity, which is stored as chemical energy inside a 1.56kWh battery. When required, this is converted back to electrical energy that delivers 161bhp and 395Nm of torque. The result: 0-62mph in less than 10 seconds, a maximum 414-mile range and zero harmful emissions.
