The Pulsar is the spacious hatchback you need to know about
The Nissan Pulsar is one vehicle in the family hatchback market that you may not be too familiar with, well, that is until now. The Pulsar in comparison to a number of its competitors is class-leading in terms of space, comfortability and value for money and here’s why…
Design and Ride
The design is subtle yet striking and as you would expect with any Nissan model, comes with quirky aesthetics which make the Pulsar’s appearance clean and unfussy. The dash is user-friendly and as can be found in the popular Qashqai model, climate control buttons and infotainment displays are logically arranged.
The ride quality is superb, as is refinement and the soft suspension does an incredible job at soaking up poorer surfaces. On top of this, passengers can look forward to a quiet journey, with a limited amount of noise finding its way into the cabin.

Space and safety
Unlike its main competitors such as the Golf and Astra, the Pulsar can offer more interior space than all of them, exceeding in comfortability and room. If practicality and comfort are top of your list when looking for a new car, then the Pulsar has it all.
Having the longest wheelbase in the class means more rear sear space than its competitors ensuring premium levels of comfort, whether your journey is long or short.
If you thought the impressive levels of space stopped there, you’d be wrong. The boot is one of the biggest in its sector with it being both deep and wide - Add to this a huge glove box and reasonably sized doors and the Pulsar boasts an unrivalled level of user-friendly functionality.
The Pulsar features six airbags as standard as well as tyre-pressure monitoring, with N-Connecta and Tekna models boasting advanced parking sensors, lane departure warning and emergency braking, which means the brakes will apply automatically if it detects an impending impact. All of these impressive safety features mean the Pulsar was awarded a five-star safety rating by Euro NCAP.
Spec and Tech
The base level spec within the Pulsar often goes under the radar. Air conditioning, Bluetooth hands-free phone connection, alloy wheels and electric windows all round come as standard. Make the jump to an N-Connecta and look forward to cruise-control, rear view camera, Sat Nav and all the benefits of Nissan Connect.
