Suzuki e-Vitara: Everything You Need to Know About the Upcoming Electric SUV
The e-Vitara was initially unveiled in November of last year, and as we anticipate its launch in June, with customer deliveries commencing in September, we have some exciting updates about Suzuki’s first electric vehicle!
The new e-Vitara will feature all-wheel drive, bringing Suzuki’s AllGRIP four-wheel drive technology into the electric age. Equipped with a 61 kWh battery, it boasts an impressive 0-62 mph acceleration time of just 7.4 seconds. The single motor variant offers either a 61 kWh battery or a slightly smaller 49 kWh pack, achieving 0-62 mph in 9.6 seconds.
Range is a crucial consideration for electric vehicle buyers. The base 49 kWh model of the e-Vitara can travel up to 214 miles on a single charge, while the single-motor 61 kWh version can reach up to 265 miles, with the single motor 61 kWh model having a range of up to 246 miles. All e-Vitara models will be equipped with a heat pump as standard, making it easier for customers to maintain their range throughout the year.
With an impressive charging speed of 150 kW, the e-Vitara can recharge from 10 to 80 percent in just 45 minutes, regardless of whether you choose the small or large battery model.
The e-Vitara is 100 mm longer than the current hybrid Vitara, giving the electric version a wider and taller profile, enhancing its SUV appeal.
The interior of the e-Vitara is a notable upgrade from the standard hybrid Vitara, featuring colourful dash materials, durable switchgear, and seats upholstered in synthetic leather and fabric. Inside, you will find a 10.25-inch driver display and a 10.1-inch central screen. Additionally, the e-Vitara provides ample space for passengers to relax, with rear seats that slide to customise boot space up to 310 litres!
Furthermore, the e-Vitara comes with Suzuki’s new 10-Year Warranty, which includes battery coverage! Through the service-activated scheme, you could be protected for up to 10 years or 100,000 miles.
