Hyundai has secured another major accolade for its electric line-up, with the IONIQ 5 being crowned Used EV of the Year at the 2026 AM Awards, one of the UK motor retail industry’s most prestigious events.

Our Group Operations Manager, Dave Carter, was there to celebrate the outstanding win alongside Hyundai.

The award was announced during the annual AM Awards gala, held on 14 May 2026 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London, an event that celebrates excellence, innovation and performance across the automotive retail sector.

The Used EV of the Year category is voted for by AM’s dealership readers, which makes the win particularly significant as it reflects the views of industry professionals working closely with customers.

Since its launch in 2022, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 has consistently received global acclaim for its design, technology and performance. The model quickly established itself as a benchmark in the electric vehicle segment, earning multiple industry awards and recognition worldwide.

Its success in the used market reflects these strengths, with customers being attracted to the IONIQ 5 by the advanced features, impressive electric range of around 300 miles, rapid charging capabilities and strong value retention.
