An SOHC, eight-valve, parallel twin-cylinder 1,084cc powerplant produces a peak 85.8bhp at 7,000rpm and a maximum 98Nm of torque at 4,750rpm. Capable of a top speed of 110mph, the Rebel’s Euro5-compliant engine produces CO2 emissions from just 114g/km. With a tank full of petrol, the bike can manage between 120 and 172 miles before refuelling is required. The CMX1100’s stripped-down design ensures that its compact dimensions deliver maximum ground clearance while creating a low centre of gravity. The former enables the bike to cruise without sustaining damage from road debris while the latter helps it to turn faster than it otherwise would.
