Stripped back and built for the joy of riding, the CB650R feels just as at home blasting through the city as it does flowing along twisting backroads, with punchy acceleration, light, agile handling, and bold Neo Sports Café style inspired by the CB1000R. Add in premium tech and the option of Honda’s incredible new E Clutch system, and it proves that sometimes, less really does give you so much more.

Power for the ride

Everything starts with your right hand. The DOHC inline four cylinder engine pulls hard and revs freely, delivering 70kW and screaming all the way to a 12,000rpm redline, with 63Nm of torque that surges through every gear. For A2 riders, it can be tuned to 35kW by a Honda dealer, then opened back up when you move to a full A licence, so the bike grows with you. All that power is kept in check by an assist and slipper clutch that smooths out hard braking and downshifts, keeping the rear wheel calm and settled. And when you really have to hit the anchors, the Emergency Stop Signal flashes the rear hazards, making sure you are seen and giving you that extra peace of mind when it matters most.
