Meet the new CB1000R, which is as attractively rugged as ever, a bare-boned beauty created with optimal riding pleasure in mind. It embodies the spirit of roadsters of yore while bringing the winning formula bang up to day, with distinctive style and all the technical attributes you’d expect from a contemporary cruiser.
The Honda CB1000R is quick, slick and a sight for sore eyes, and it delivers smooth and comfortable travel. Offering terrific pulling power, this is a bike that’s very easy to ride and a whole lot of fun. It provides plenty of low-down torque and it’s light and nimble at any speed.
If you’re looking for a potent two-wheeler that offers everyday handling and comfort and an electrifying turn of pace, this is the bike for you.
Neo Café Racer style
The CBR1000R has undergone comprehensive remodelling. This is immediately discernible by a streamlined full-LED headlight which is hooped with daytime running lights and framed within a horseshoe-style aluminium bezel. Indeed, aluminium features prominently. For instance, a restyled aluminium subframe presents the bike with its distinctive in-your-face attitude. Meanwhile, freshly reshaped burnished aluminium radiator shrouds are possessed of a more compact and forward-tilting appearance. New seven-spoke wheels feature radials that divide into three distinct sections as they near the rim, lending each wheel an attractive 21-spoke appearance. In short: classic design cues complement modern-day needs and sensibilities – and as you’d expect from a Honda, this Neo Sports Café-styled bike benefits from unbeatable Honda reliability and build quality.

Smoothly powerful
The Honda CBR1000R is as potent as it is good-looking. A liquid-cooled DOHC 998cc engine delivers more power than ever, putting out a maximum 143.5bhp at 10,500rpm and a peak torque of 104Nm at 8,250rpm. At low revs, this in-line four-cylinder motor is self-possessed and refined, and offers plenty of mid-range oomph whenever required, and it returns up to 39.8mpg while producing CO2 emissions from 137g/km. Optimal control is provided by an adjustable Showa Separate Function Fork Big Piston. Simultaneously, rear shock-absorbers automatically adjust to deliver sufficient preload and rebound damping, helping the rider to enjoy as smooth a ride as possible. Both are operated by a single-sided swingarm that contributes to the bike’s low-weight minimality.
