Unlike most seven-seat SUVs, the SANTA FE​ offers room for adults in every position. Thanks to a sliding second row, access to the rearmost compartment is made as easy as possible – there are even individual air-conditioning controls for third-row passengers. In five-seat mode, a 571-litre luggage capacity is available and, with all but the front seats dropped, cargo volume rises to a very useful 1,649 litres.

Performance

A 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine is paired with an electric motor/13.8kWh battery combo and returns up to 174mpg while producing CO₂ emissions as low as 37g/km. This means the SANTA FE PHEV is fully exempt from Clean Air Zone charges. It also means that it’s very affordable to run, because it’s capable of an all-electric 36-mile range.
