London Ulez Scrappage Scheme – Up to £2000 to Scrap a car

The Mayor of London has funded a £160m scrappage scheme, which provides financial assistance to help eligible London residents scrap vehicles that don't meet the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) emissions standards.

‌Any London resident living in one of the 32 London boroughs or the City of London with an eligible vehicle can apply to scrap a car or motorcycle, as you no longer need to receive certain benefits to apply.

‌The zone expanded across all London boroughs on 29 August 2023.

‌The expansion of London's ULEZ covers all London boroughs towards the North Circular Road A406 and South Circular Road (A205) boundary. The expansion means our Orpington, Enfield, Ruislip and Romford dealerships are now within the zone.

‌If a vehicle does not meet the ULEZ standards, the driver may be subject to a fine. In London, for example, the fine is £12.50 per day, in addition to the daily congestion charge (£15).
