CAPTUR HYBRID – THE PHEV CROSSOVER
The CAPTUR PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) was designed from the outset for electrification, based on Renault’s latest modular CMF-B architecture. It features a 1.6L petrol engine with a 9.8 kWh battery and two electric motors, delivering 160hp and up to 188.3mpg. Two electric motors power the Renault CAPTUR PHEV for all-electric driving around town, with a range of around 31 miles. The multi-mode clutchless gearbox was inspired by Renault DP World F1 know-how and ensures smooth, swift responses.
And with only 34g per km of CO2, the All-New CAPTUR E-TECH reduces emissions, and brings down running costs as well as reducing your company car tax. The E-TECH gives you access to every ultra-low emissions zone (ULEZ) in the UK too. Find out more about the range of Renault Hybrid cars including the Renault CLIO Hybrid.

You’ll notice the CAPTUR E-TECH Plug-in makes no noise when you start it and move off. That’s the EV mode in action, ideal for day-to-day trips in town with zero emissions. And you’ll enjoy the instant 205Nm of torque available from this EV as you pull away.
Simply switch to hybrid mode as you head out on longer journeys. This advanced powertrain, where the electric motors and the petrol engine work together, ensures optimal fuel economy, sporty performance and maximum driving pleasure.
The CAPTUR Hybrid uses Renault Formula 1® car regenerative braking technology to recover kinetic energy when braking and slowing down. This recovered energy helps recharge your battery, even more so when you select the B Mode on the gear selector. It can also give you a boost in acceleration whenever you need it.
Three levels of energy regeneration and regenerative braking maximise the battery charge:
• Battery regeneration during deceleration • B Mode • Regenerative braking

CAPTUR PHEV Charging
Charging the CAPTUR Plug-in Hybrid at home is easy. You can use a domestic 13A 3-pin socket with a charging time of up to 4 hours 15 minutes.
Take advantage of the free 3.7 kW Type 3 BP Chargemaster Wallbox, and you can recharge the CAPTUR in just three hours. The exact charging time depends on temperature, battery wear, the power delivered by the station and the battery charge level.
On the road, All-New CAPTUR E-TECH Plug-in will run using both the petrol engine and the electric motors, offering unprecedented flexibility. Should you require, you can charge-up at one of the many thousands of public charging points.
