Simple, Clean Power
The Captur Hybrid benefits from an advanced E-Tech powertrain. A 1.6-litre petrol engine is paired with two electric motors and a 1.2kW lithium-ion battery. Already in use on the Clio E-Tech Hybrid, this trusted technology was engineered by the Alpine F1 team.
The Captur starts up in all-electric mode and then, as you drive, the MULTI-SENSE selector automatically switches into the best mode in response to the driving conditions and driver inputs, optimising the mode for efficiency and emissions reduction.

Pure: The all-electric mode automatically engages when the car is started. The driver can also switch to Pure using the screen selector or the EV button on the centre console.
MySense: Engaged for most of the journey, MySense seamlessly switches between electric power and the petrol engine as dictated by conditions and driving style, and to maximise efficiency.
Sport: Need some extra power? Push down the accelerator and Sport mode engages, combining the output of the petrol engine and both electric motors together.
With 145hp, a zero to 62mph time of 10.6 seconds and a top speed of 106mph, the Captur Hybrid produces only 114g/km of CO2 and can deliver 56.6mpg.
The multi-mode clutchless gearbox offers you smooth, swift responses and an enjoyable driving experience.
This self-charging hybrid never needs you to charge it. The battery is automatically charged as you drive using three advanced technologies:
✔️ Deceleration: When you stop accelerating and start to coast, the main electric motor acts as a generator and turns the kinetic energy of deceleration into electrical energy to charge the battery. ✔️ B Mode: A Brake Mode (B Mode) on the gear selector allows you to use only one pedal in Pure, all-electric mode. This allows the battery to recover more energy up to an idling speed of about 4mph. ✔️ Regenerative braking: Excess energy from the braking process is converted into electrical energy and stored in the battery. This is the main way in which the battery is kept charged.
With the maximum five-star rating from Euro NCAP, the Captur E-Tech Hybrid is equipped for optimum safety. With the all-important Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system available, as well as Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Assist, the Captur helps make every journey safer. You’ll also benefit from Renault Pure Vision LED headlights with automatic high/low beam, Traffic Sign Recognition and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function. A rear-view camera, along with front and rear sensors, makes parking easy too.
