What it’s like driving the All-New 100% Electric Nissan ARIYA – Review
With World EV day just round the corner, join our social media executive, Lauren, as she exclusively explores Nissan's newest EV.
Within West Way's newest vlog on YouTube, you can follow Lauren as she experiences the Nissan ARIYA for the first time. With the EV arriving in dealerships just weeks prior, Lauren was asked if she wanted to test drive the 100% electric vehicle.
With this being the first electric vehicle that she has ever driven, she wasn't sure what to expect and was a little skeptical about what the ARIYA had to offer.
Upon first inspection, Lauren admires the futuristic and sleek exterior design. We get to take a look at the front grille, where you will find the front facing camera, underneath the new 2D Nissan logo, and the parking sensors. Lauren also briefly takes a look under the bonnet. Moving towards the back of the vehicle, Lauren comments on how the back lights give the vehicle an overall 'dynamic' feel. When presenting the boot, we can see just how much storage space the ARIYA has, including a compartment for the charging cable. This space can then be extended by the folding rear seats, which ois shown later in the video.
Moving onto the interior, we take our first look in the back. The rear seats appear to be very spacious, providing plenty of room for passengers. The back seat passengers also have the luxury of their own leather arm rest, with a cup holder each, as well as access to the AC and two charging points for electric devices. The front of the ARIYA offers a lot of tech that can help you along on your journey. As well as a wireless phone charger and charging ports for electronic devices, we also have plenty of storage space in the front with two glove boxes and space in the centre console. The dashboard displays the haptic touch controls for the AC - a long with two 12.3'' screens. Lauren explores all the settings on both screens, including viewing exterior cameras.
One of Lauren's favourite features of the Nissan ARIYA is the voice control. She liked the fact she could use this to search for the nearest charging points, and found this very convenient for an electric car.
