On Friday 22nd February, long serving Technician Simon Turner retired after almost 40 years of continuous service with Nissan.

On Friday 22nd February, long serving Technician, Simon Turner retired after almost 40 years of continuous service with Nissan. After working for his dad, Simon began with Nissan on 18th April 1980, as a fully qualified technician at the age of twenty-one, quite an achievement.

We would like to thank Simon for his hard work and loyalty over the past 40 years and wish him all the best in the future. Simon ended his career with Nissan at West Way Birmingham South, where he is highly thought of and well liked. Daniel Jordan, Service Manager at Birmingham South is pictured presenting Simon with an engraved tankard and other gifts from colleagues at West Way.

Simon’s interests outside of work are seemingly diverse - from Santa Pod racing to renovating a 1929 pick-up! We are sure that Simon will now fully appreciate the maximum spare time he has at his disposal.

On behalf of all of Simon’s friends and colleagues we would like to wish him a long, happy and healthy retirement.

Here at West Way, we are always looking for experienced and ambitious people who are committed and have the drive to succeed. We firmly believe that it is our staff that make West Way one of the most respected Nissan dealerships in the country. If you would like to join the ever-growing team then please view our latest vacancies here.
