West Way Nissan Enjoys 100% Electric Event

In recent years, the electric vehicle market has grown substantially with more and more drivers choosing electric over conventional models. This huge leap in the EV sector saw an astonishing increase of 341% compared to the first part of 2014 and April is anticipated to be the most successful month yet. The Government’s ‘Office for Low Emission Vehicles’ has announced that a new £32m support package will be going towards creating and sustaining the EV market. Last month, West Way took the opportunity to show how our models stand out from the rest with a 100% electric vehicle event across six of our UK dealerships.

Our Oxford, Coventry, Stockport, Birmingham, Manchester and Stourbridge dealerships saw great success at the event in March. Recent customers, EV ambassadors and our specially trained Electric Vehicle Specialist joined together to organise a rewarding event that created a great atmosphere along with access to the in-depth information needed for customers and businesses thinking about switching to Electric. Test drives were plentiful and customer’s feedback was highly positive, proving that the Nissan LEAF and e-NV200 really are the leaders in electric driving. The Nissan LEAF was first introduced to the European market in 2011. Since then, its ongoing journey of innovation and design has contributed to its title of ‘The World Best Selling Electric Car’. Nissan’s target sales for 2015 have already been smashed and the remaining part of the year is set to be even more successful. It’s easy to see why the LEAF is the EV of choice for so many; Zero emissions means that drivers never have to buy fuel again and they’ll be saving a huge amount on road tax, its super quiet battery power gives drivers a peaceful on-the-road experience and its 30minute rapid charge ability gives drivers peace of mind that their LEAF will keep going as long as they do.

In addition, the Nissan e-NV200 is easily the UK’s best-selling Electric Van. Small businesses and privateorganisations alike are seeing the benefits of a 100% electric vehicle that doesn’t compromise on space or power. The current five-seat model won What Van?’s Green award in 2015 which enhances that this critically acclaimed van really does have everything that a business needs without costly fuelfill ups.
