WELLCHILD GOLF DAY SUCCESS
Earlier this year, WellChild held their annual golf day at the Belfry Hotel, with West Way supporting on the day. During this year’s event, West Way held the longest drive challenge for the stars attending – with the winner, Alex Boyd, raising a huge £2500 for WellChild, with his shot of 292 yards.
West Way also supported the event by also holding a hole-in-one challenge, the prize being an All-New Nissan Qashqai, unfortunately, this time, nobody won this prize.
West Way are strong supporters of WellChild. We have gifted the team with vehicles, free of charge, which means wellchild are able to easily support seriously ill children and their families so much more easily, as well as saving the charity money. West Way has so far provided an NV400 Van and a Qashqai car
WellChild Director of Fundraising Abby Guilding said: “We would like to thank West Way for their fantastic support for WellChild, both at the Ed Chamberlin Golf Classic and more generally by providing transport to allow us to do the work we do for children and their families week in, week out. Congratulations to Alex on his mammoth drive and we are grateful that the real winners on the day are WellChild families across the UK.”
West Way Managing Director, Jon Roberts said: ““It’s a fantastic feeling to be back at events like this supporting the amazing work WellChild do. The Ed Chamberlin Golf Day always has a special feel to it and it gives West Way the perfect platform to showcase our vehicles in a superb setting.”

KEEPING YOUR BUSINESS MOVING WITH WEST WAY
You may have heard the news that the government has ceased its electric grant scheme on electric cars – however, grants are still available on electric vans and businesses looking to change or update their fleet to electric can take advantage of this through their nearest West Way Business Centre on models such as e-NV200 and Nissan’s latest small electric van, the Townstar*insert link to townstar page*. The rising cost of fuel and the introduction of Clean Air Zones in major cities across the UK have led to businesses opting to ‘go green’ and our Business Centre experts are on hand to talk you through your options.
It appears as though the cost of goods shows no sign of easing and delivery lead times of new cars and vans any time soon proving challenging for businesses to run their operations and fleets efficiently. With van prices set to increase from 1st July 2022, West Way Business Centres have a number of new vans including the Primastar and Insterstar available for summer delivery with huge savings available if ordered by 1st July. To view these offers and beat the price increase click here or call your local business centre today.
West Way Business Centre’s lead the way in commercial and car sales keeping small businesses, medium sized fleets and national organisations moving forward.

At West Way, we are constantly producing new video content for our customers. Currently, we have 984 subscribers so feel free to subscribe to help us to reach the 1,000 subscribers’ milestone and to keep up-to-date with all of our video content.
Throughout May we launched a brand-new Vlog series which aims to show off the exciting features each Nissan vehicle has to offer. ‘A Day in the Nissan LEAF’ is a lengthy vlog all about the fully-electric LEAF Acenta which is the entry level grade for the Nissan LEAF. The presenter, Josh, has never owned an electric vehicle and claims to be a big petrol head but will he be convinced by the end of the video that electric is the way to go? Take a look for yourself to see an in-depth walk around of the LEAF Acenta along with multiple short tutorials to show you how to do a domestic charge, use the different driving modes and of course, the revolutionary e-pedal.
Find out more about the LEAF here.
A Week in the Nissan Juke is the other vlog launched in May. This vlog showcases the Nissan Juke Tekna and Lauren’s experience of getting used to driving it. When Lauren found herself without a car after hers broke down, West Way lent her this Nissan Juke but she had never driven an automatic before. She was also used to driving a Mini which is considerably smaller than the Nissan Juke, so how long will it take for her to get used to the Juke, especially since it’s an automatic? (Spoiler Alert: it didn’t take long at all!).
