West Way dealers are now Electric Vehicle Accredited

Coventry, Manchester, Rochdale and Stourbridge have now all received the Electric Vehicle Accreditation.

The Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA) scheme has been developed by the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA) to recognise retailers’ excellence in the electric vehicle sector. EVA is endorsed by the Government’s Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) and Energy Saving Trust.

The aim of the scheme is to encourage dealerships to further their ability in selling and servicing EV's, and allows dealers to become a recognised EV expert.

Over the past 2 years EVA has successfully accredited over 200 dealerships with the EVA status, and the government has also renewed it's co-sponsorship of the scheme during this time.

The Energy Saving Trust will independently audit a dealership during the process in order to assess whether this meet a set of standards covering EV sales and aftersales. These standards also include the customer qualification process, staff knowledge and training, EV demonstration and handover process', as well as availably of EV services and charging points.

All of our staff across the 5 dealerships had to undergo intensive training and show solid understanding of all electric and hybrid model variants. Aftersales and technicians also had to undergo comprehensive training.

All 5 dealer principals have expressed how delighted they are that their dealership is now EVA accredited and can now meet all needs for our EV customers.
