West Way are proud to announce that we have recently been awarded the Bronze Award in recognition of our commitment towards the armed forces. Further to this, we have signed and committed to the Armed Forces Covenant.

The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) encourages employers to support defence and inspire others to do the same by recognising and rewarding UK employers for their support and commitment towards it. The scheme encompasses bronze, silver and gold awards for employer organisations that pledge, demonstrate and advocate support to Defence and the Armed Forces community by aligning their values with the Armed Forces Covenant. This allows the Ministry of Defence to publicly thank and honour those organisations for their support.

West Way have a close connection to the military through our sponsorship of The Red Devils and H-Hour.  West Way also employs a number of ex-military ranging from the Managing Director, Tony Lewis, to technicians and sales teams. We also work closely with 353, a charitable trust founded by Tony Lewis, set up to help members of the military community by delivering long-term support to a variety of charities, soldiers and their families. West Way also offer 16% discount to members of HM Armed Forces, civilian MOD employees, UK Reservist Forces including the Territorial Army and retired service personnel.

West Way are honoured to have received this award and we are now working towards achieving silver and then gold award employer status.
