The Nissan Pathfinder is Back on Form!

The Nissan Pathfinder with a 2.5 litre diesel engine gives you a gear box with six-speeds and the option to change to automatic. The 4x4 produces 187bhp giving a strong 332lb ft of torque. The four-wheel drive can be switched and the separate chassis and low transfer box give the Nissan Pathfinder authentic off road capability.

The Pathfinder keeps noise to a minimum and is rarely an issue bearing in mind the size of the vehicle. The Nissan Pathfinder is definitely better in price compared to its rivals and as with any 4x4, running costs are moderately high. The fuel economy average for the pathfinder is less than 30mpg for the automatic and a little more than 30mpg for the manual diesel. Those who use their pathfinder as a go anywhere and everywhere vehicle will find its great for firm use.

If the car starts to slide, a stability control system installed with the Pathfinder will bring the car back under control. If a crash occurs the 4x4 comes with side and front full length curtain airbags to protect passengers. Marked parts, locking wheelnuts and deadlocks also come with the Pathfinder.

In the cabin the seat adjusts for height, higher spec-cars have electric seats and the steering wheel adjusts height for comfort. With room for 5 adults and 2 rear boot seats to create a seven seater, the Pathfinder is great when looking for a vehicle with a larger boot. The ability to lower the rear seats makes the boot incredibly big and practical. The Tekna and Acenta are the two trims, the Tekna bringing 18-inch alloys, keyless entry, cruise control, satellite-navigation and leather upholstery. A camera for rear parking is optional as is the Bose sound system. The Acenta with 17-inch alloys comes with Bluetooth mobile connectivity, dual climate control and electric windows.
