The all new X-Trail has recently made its highly anticipated debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The latest version of the already popular model pays tribute to traditional 4x4 design, with the added touch of crossover technology, making it the perfect all-weather, all-road, family vehicle. The newly sculpted exterior makes for an impressive appearance with a generous interior that can seat up to seven passengers with the option of two extra seats. The model has also received a power punch with its advanced electronic four-wheel drive system, the ALL MODE 4x4i, which allows drivers to switch effortlessly between two-wheel drive, auto mode or four-wheel drive. Working hard to improve driveability and safety are four electronic systems, two of which; the Active Ride Control, which monitors the road surface, and Active Engine Brake, which helps power the Xtronic transmissions for improved braking, are both world firsts. The vehicle also benefits from Uphill Start Support and Advance Hill Descent Control. The new X-Trail is the latest model in the range to incorporate the NissanConnect in-car navigation, information and entertainment system. Paired with a host of other assistance features, such as the Nissan Safety Shield System, it is fully equipped to offer its drivers a complete interactive driving experience. The model will be built at nine different manufacturing sites around the world before it finally launches globally during the first quarter of next year, with sales said to commence in July 2014. With its predecessor being one of Nissan’s biggest selling vehicles the new advanced version is predicted to have a significant impact on the market. Further details of the X-Trail will be released next year before it officially hits showrooms around Europe. Watch this space!
