Swanton Care becomes first to unveil all electric fleet
With the help of West Way Nissan, Swanton Car were able to be the first care providers to use an all electric fleet of vehicles.
When Shaun Cross from Swanton Care approached West Way, we were more than happy to assist in the decision making process of which would be best suited for their needs.
Gary Crimmons, our comercial specialist, lead Shaun through all of the options, and weighed up the pros and cons of each, including total costs to running each vehicle. When it was decided that Swanton wanted to go down the electric vehicle route, we also gave them on information on work and home charging points that could be installed.

Over the space of two months, figures, vehicles and all options were considered, and Shaun decided to order FOUR Nissan e-NV200s! We were also able to help them organise the installation of charging points, which means the vehicles will also be ready to go whenever needed. This makes Swanton Care the FIRST EVER care providers to use a FULL electric fleet! Swanton Care stated it is "committed to playing its part in the drive towards net zero and the EV upgrade is a key element of its wider Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy."
The e-NV200's will be used to support the individuals who Swanton Care work with, in order to take them out on day trips and shopping, but also to help them attend appointments.
Garry Cross, CEO of Swanton Care, said "We are delighted to unveil the first of our EVs. Making the move to electric was really a no-brainer for us. It’s the right thing to work towards for the environment and they are more cost-effective in terms of running costs than diesel vehicles, which will help recoup the extra purchase costs.

“And we’re proud to be one of the first providers in the UK to make this switch. I would urge others to do the same – just make sure you remember to plug the car in when the battery is running a little low!”
We can't wait to hear about how they get on with their brand new Nissan electric fleet!
