Brayleys Car Blog: Renault ZOE wins Green Apple Award 2016
The Renault ZOE has won yet another award. Becoming The Green Organisation’s overall Green Apple Champion for 2016, the ZOE also won the Pure Electric and Hybrid Cars category for a second time. Judges praised its commitment to an electric future and its affordability, reflected in the fact that it was the best-selling electric vehicle in Europe in 2015, and represents one sixth of all electric vehicles sales in the UK. Send an enquiry to find out more about the ZOE, and discover why it’s one of the most popular electric cars on the road today.
Marks are awarded for the way a car drives and behaves in the real world, away from the testing laboratory, proving the ZOE makes a great everyday proposition. Renault estimates that the ZOE has a real-world range of between 124 to 186 miles, depending on the temperature. “It is by some measure the most convincing all-electric vehicle I've driven,” said one judge. “So good, in fact, that it only takes a few miles to forget what's powering you along so convincingly. The ZOE shows Renault's commitment to the future of electric power in an affordable package that looks good, drives well and does its bit to make the planet a little bit greener."
The Renault ZOE is a part of Renault’s Z.E. range, also made up of the Twizy and Kangoo Van Z.E. It’s available in a choice of three trim levels, including a new top-of-the-range Signature Nav trim, and can be purchased either outright or by leasing the battery separately. It’s proving very popular with the British public, having been voted Best Supermini in the Auto Express Driver Power Survey 2016 and coming second overall out of 183 models. It’s also a three-time winner of What Car?’s ‘Best Electric Car for less than £20,000’. To find out what all the fuss is about, contact Brayley Renault and book a test drive today.
