Polícia de Segurança Pública
The Nissan Leaf has been adopted by the urban division of the Portuguese police. The Portuguese police, Polícia de Segurança Pública also known as the PSP have taken delivery of eight Nissan Leaf cars. The Nissan Leaf will now be part of the PSP's 5,000 strong Polícia fleet. National director of PNP, Superintendent Paul Gomes Valente said "The force is proud of this decision and we want to continue contributing to the reduction of pollution in large urban areas." The Nissan Leaf was specifically chosen to help reduce the carbon footprint of the PSP. However it has been stated that no Nissan Leaf cars will be involved in any high speed pursuits as they were primarily chosen for the PSP's Safe School programme. At West Way we think it's great that people and organisations are taking real action into reducing their carbon footprint!
