Our Oldham dealership recently teamed up with local youth charity, Mahdlo, in a bid to search for the perfect Mahdlo Car design. After calling upon the creative skills of young people in the area we received a collection of eye-catching designs, which were then put forward to the public to choose their favourite. Out of a shortlist of six designs, 12 year old Bethany Graham was selected as the winner. Her colourful drawing made its Juke wrap debut at the unveiling event at the Blue Tiffin last week. West Way Oldham also hosted a ride-and-drive at the event, which was attended by a number of business leaders, press and guests from around the community. Mahdlo were particularly pleased with Bethany’s eye-catching artwork, which will no doubt grab the attention of passersby whenever the Juke takes to the road. Bethany told press at the event that her big idea to make her design stand-out was to opt for brighter colours, rather than simply sticking to Mahdlo’s corporate yellow and grey. Her prize was an iPad as well as a once in a lifetime trip for her and her family to the Nissan plant in Sunderland to see how the cars are made. The five runners-up, who each received a framed version of their designs, were Millie Tarbuck, Sophie Pickering, Thea Casey, Amelia Sheridan and Amaan ul haq. Be sure to keep an eye out for the now infamous Mahdlo Juke when you’re next in Oldham – it will be hard to miss! Well done to Bethany and all the runners-up!
