Here at West Way we love helping local councils and businesses go green!
Here at West Way we love helping local councils and businesses go green! Oldham council have just taken delivery of two 100% electric Nissan e-NV200 vans from our Oldham dealership! This adds to the eight all-electric Nissan LEAFs it already has in service across the region. The groundbreaking vans, will join the LEAFs as pool vehicles and will be shared by Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and Greater Manchester Police. The new vehicles, which cost just two pence per mile to run and offer zero emissions mobility, will help the local authority further reduce its carbon footprint and provide better value for money for taxpayers. Based at locations across Oldham, the now 10-strong electric vehicle fleet is available for use by council, police and fire service employees in the course of their duties – significantly reducing the cost and impact of essential journeys. Launched earlier this year, the Nissan e-NV200 combines the NV200 - a former International Van of the Year - with the proven technology oftherecord breaking Nissan LEAF – the world’s bestselling electric car.
