Our Partnership with HELP Appeal Continues
Our partnership with HELP Appeal began in September and we have recently upgraded their Juke to a newer model.
Since the partnership began 8 months ago, Jason Dennis, one of HELP Appeal’s Fundraising executives has driven over 14,000 miles and visited 297 businesses to help raise awareness and donations for the only charity in the country that is dedicated to funding hospital helipads.
Jason Dennis, HELP Appeal fundraising executive said: “The Nissan Juke has been invaluable to the charity and we are hugely grateful to West Way that we’re getting a new upgrade to continue our travels across the country to help raise awareness about the importance of hospital helipads.
“I have calculated that £133,317 has been raised from the organisations that I’ve met over the past eight months, thanks to my Nissan Juke.
“The donations that we’ve received so far will help to build life-saving hospital helipads that are urgently needed across the country, including the £1,365,000 that we are giving for the new rooftop helipad at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).”
Brian Power, West Way added: “When someone is seriously ill or injured, it is crucial that air ambulances can land seconds away from specialist care at hospital.
“For many patients – which could be a member of our team, their family or our customers – a helipad beside the emergency department means they will have much quicker access to the critical care they urgently need which could save their life.
“This is why West Way is supporting the HELP Appeal as it provides vital funding towards hospital helipads, wherever they are needed – saving time and saving lives.”
Jason will be driving his new Nissan Juke across the country, continuing to raise vital funds for the charity. If it’s safe to do so, tweet a photo to @helipadhelp and @westwaynissan or post to HELP Appeal’s Facebook page with the #heartBEEPforhelipads to help raise awareness about the charity’s work.
