Nissan LEAF benefits from price reduction and updated specifications
Great news for all of the electric car lovers out there! From November production, the Nissan LEAF specification will be updated whilst also benefitting from price reductions across the LEAF 40kWh range – including existing stock!
LEAF 40kWH derivatives will receive an on the road price reduction of £1,650. This reduction is applied to Acenta, N-Connecta and Tekna grades. This places the LEAF Acenta 40kWh into a very competitive on the road price position of just £26,345. Not only can you benefit from this price saving, we are pleased to announce an interest rate improvement on PCP finance offers going from 5.99% to 4.99%. This interest rate improvement applies to both 40kWh and LEAF e+ 62kWh.
From the 18th November, the following spec enhancements will be added to production:
LED Pack: LED fog lights have been upgraded to include a cornering function. This feature illuminates the fog lights during tight cornering to give greater visibility to the road ahead. Additionally, the LED Headlight Auto Levelling Feature has been replaced with a manual adjustment in response to customer feedback.
REAR USB Ports: Two rear USB ports have been added to all LEAF grades. These ports will be fitted to the reverse panel of the centre console for access from the rear bench. The Heat Pack rear seat heater switches have also been relocated to this position for easier access.
Parking Sensor Sonar Switch: On grades fitted with the Tech Pack including parking sensors, the Parking Sensor Sonar Switch has now been removed. The Parking Sensor Sound and Proximity Display can be muted by pressing the ‘OK’ button on the steering wheel.
Why make the switch to LEAF?
Nissan are the market leaders in electric vehicles with the LEAF winning many prestigious awards, including most recently the ‘Alternative Fuel Car of The Year’ at the Scottish Car of The Year Awards. More than 400,000 LEAFs have been sold globally since 2010, making Nissan the world’s best-selling electric vehicle manufacturer.
As the LEAF is 100% electric - meaning no emissions, no exhaust and no pollution, it is free from congestions charges that many UK cities are planning and the Ultra-Low Emission Zone in London. Not only this, the LEAF isn’t just green because it’s electric, it is made almost entirely of easily reusable and recyclable materials. This has led the British Built vehicle to be recognised with a five-star Green NCAP rating after a series of rigorous tests. So, if you are environmentally conscience, the LEAF is for you.
With fuel prices steadily increasing, an electric car is becoming ever-more financially attractive, so you can save both the planet and your pocket. Costs for charging LEAF will depend on your home electricity tariff, but typically they start from around 3p per mile, with fuel costs for similar-sized petrol engine vehicles around 12p per mile, so you can expect to reduce your fuel costs by around 60% to 70%.
