NISMO takes centre stage
Nissan has just debuted its new 'NISMO' performance brand at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. The NISMO motorsport brand will be used to identify its affordable yet advanced performance vehicles. The even hotter version of the unique cross-over, the Juke NISMO was the first model to officially debut the performance brand at the show and will be the first of many NISMO offerings.
The Juke will receive a turbo charged 1.6 litre engine, capable of 215bhp, stiffer suspension and aerodynamic aids. Further, the suspension will be upgraded and the chassis revised to pack a punch and heighten the driving experience. The Juke NISMO will have the benefit of a more aggressive exterior, with 18 inch alloy wheels, larger front bumper, intakes, rear spoiler and side skirts. It will be available in both 2 and 4 wheel drive with the manual version capable of 62 mph in 8.2 seconds.
Arguably, The Juke NISMO is in a league of its own, with its unique styling and is in somewhat of a niche market meaning there really is little competition!
The Juke NISMO is expected to go on sale in the UK in early 2013.
