Renault’s agile city car with EDC from Brayley Renault in Milton Keynes
Exciting Twingo spec upgrades mean there is now a new Renault Twingo EDC automatic. The already multi-award-winning Twingo has now gained the EDC transmission, the availability of ECO mode for improved fuel consumption, Hill Start Assist for additional safety, new alloy wheels and the option of extra-tinted rear windows. Take another look at Twingo...
Available to order now on the TCe90 engine with delivery from January 2016, Renault’s Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) transmission allows an electronic control unit to select the ideal gear. With a gear shift time of only 290ms using the automatic dual dry clutch, gear shifts are ultra smooth, making for an extremely comfortable ride. EDC offers an 'up/down' shift mode, as well as automatic gearshift control of the 'P-R-N-D' type. Another advantage of the EDC transmission is that it comes with ‘creep’ control for easier driving in slow traffic, as well as Hill Start Assist that works with the ‘creep’ control for safer hill starts. The new Renault Twingo EDC automatic is only £900 more than the equivalent manual Twingo.
Other spec upgrades include: the availability of ECO mode with the TCe90 EDC that can reduce petrol consumption by up to 10%, by making it possible to change gear at lower revs; standard fit six-spoke 15” inch ‘Ariane’ alloy wheels on the Dynamique trim; and the option on Dynamique and Dynamique S to have extra-tinted rear windows.
