Honda Mean Mower

Meanest, loudest, fastest – it’s Honda’s new mower

Honda Mean Mower is V2 powered to 150mph

We all know how sporty and exciting the new Honda range of cars is, but all Honda’s meanest, sportiest technology is now being put to good use in Honda’s latest lawn mower. Not for the average gardener, the Honda Mean Mower is designed to break records. And it’s certainly heading in the right direction, as it’s being built by Team Dynamics, Honda’s British Touring Car Championship partner. Packed with bespoke parts, using advanced materials and taking advantage of 3D printing technology, watch out for the Honda Mean Mower as it chases down the record of being the world’s fastest mower.

It’s not only about speed. The Honda Mean Mower is designed not only to look like a real mower, but it can cut grass too, having a grass box and battery-powered, carbon-fibre blades. Currently undergoing testing with Jess Hawkins, stunt driver, kart and car racer, the Mean Mower is expected to be more than capable of reaching speeds of around 150mph. Just take a look at some of the spec:

  • 999cc four-cylinder unit from a CBR1000RR Fireblade SP motorcycle
  • Produces more than 190bhp at 13,000rpm
  • Super-light frame and engine dry weight of just 69.1kg
  • Predicted power to weight ratio of 1,000bhp/tonne
  • T45 steel chassis
