e-NV200s answer to the Ultra Low Emission Zones
The volume of road traffic in London makes it one of the most polluted places in the UK – with an estimated 5.8 million journeys made by car and van every single day. There are an estimated 2 million people currently living in London within areas that exceed current air pollution limits.
Due to the harmful level of toxins in London, the Mayor of London has launched a scrappage scheme, in a bid to help improve London’s air pollution. Businesses with up to 50 employees (which has been improved from the previous 10 employees) can now replace their vehicles which don’t meet Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) standards.
Criteria:
- Businesses with up to 50 employees and charities (for minibuses)
- Businesses registered in London borough or the City of London
- Not-London based businesses having had a van driving in the Congestion Charge Zone (CCZ) at least 26 times within Aug 18-Feb 19 can access to the diesel scrappage grant but they won’t have access to £2,500 electric vehicles additional grant
Vehicles that do not meet the ULEZ emissions standards will need to pay a daily charge to drive through these zones. With the new scrappage scheme, if you meet the criteria you will be able to switch up to 3 older, more polluting vans switching to cleaner vehicles.
Since the announcement of the scrappage scheme and a number of different incentives, there has been a spike in the number of businesses and individuals making the switch to help reduce the air pollution in their city.

Play your part in helping London breathe by making the switch to an electric van. What are the benefits of going electric with the e-NV200?
- 2019 was the most successful year for electric van sales with registrations skyrocketing by 192% vs 2018 – so if your competitors haven’t made the switch to electric yet, they’ll probably be thinking about it.
- The e-NV200 has secured top spot for most registrations in the electric van market for the fifth year in a row – so by choosing Nissan, you're going with the market leaders.
- The e-NV200 has a perfect balance of performance and practicality due to its 40kWh battery and 4.23³ cargo space.
With the average UK electricity pricy sitting around £0.14 per kWh, the e-NV200’s 40kWh battery can get up to 185 miles per full charge, costing you around £0.03 per mile. On average it is believed people spend half the price on electric than they would on petrol.
Not only will you save money on fuel, you will also save money by the following...
- Currently, the ULEZ charges £12.50 per visit with most cars and vans, failure to pay can give you a penalty of £160. Whereas travelling through in the e-NV200 will cost you £0.
- Reduce running costs, no more petrol or diesel, no engine tune-ups, no oil changes
- Reduced servicing costs
- As the e-NV200’s electric engine has less moving parts, there is less chance of any issues occurring.
Just like all Nissan vehicles, the e-NV200 is no different when it comes to warranty’s
- 5 year or 60,000-mile warranty
- 8 year or 100,000-mile battery warranty
