Willkommen to Dacia at Geneva 2016
Featuring a stand just like its cars, Dacia at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show didn’t waste its customers money on frivolity, but got down to the nitty-gritty of showing its range of high quality, affordable new cars. And launched at Geneva was a new range of even more affordable special editions of the Duster, Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Logan MCV.
The Duster Essential headlined the new special edition line up. With Bluetooth, USB connectivity, central locking and electric front windows, the Duster Essential also benefits from new alloy wheels, body colour bumpers and the introduction of a new exterior finish, Tourmaline Brown. Currently only available in Switzerland, the Duster Essential is the first in a number of similar special editions due to be released. Dacia’s successful and growing online community on Facebook, which now numbers over three million members, will be given the opportunity of naming forthcoming releases in some countries.
The other big news from the Dacia stand was about the electro-mechanical Easy-R automated transmission. Already available on the TCe 90 Stop&Start petrol engine, most markets will now be able to access this highly reliable and cost effective transmission with dCi 90 diesel versions of the Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Logan MCV. With smooth, automatic gear changes and easy hill starts, the Easy-R automated transmission makes everyday driving more enjoyable, whilst the crawl function makes slow movement in traffic jams simple.
