6 Things you probably didn't know about the new e-NV200

The e-NV200 is becoming a hot favourite in the electric vehicle market due to its incredible value for money and planet saving abilities. It can also has benefits for your company including; no fuel, exempt from road tax (Vehicle Excise Duty or VED) and you don't pay "Benefit in Kind".  But that’s not all this new model has to offer – here are a few more facts about the economical van that you might not already know.

1. Largest electric vehicle on sale

The model delivers yet again with its spacious design of 4.2 cubic metres of volume in the rear, which can be extended by a further 2.8 metres when the passenger seats are folded.

2. Smooth ride

Emitting fewer vibrations than the typical non-electric vehicle, the van offers a smoother, more pleasurable drive. This combined with its heated seats, air-conditioning and sat-nav will no doubt make for a more comfortable journey allround.

 3. Lower running costs

Reduced running costs will set you back just two pence per mile, with an expected range of 106 miles and a charging time of eight hours (or four hours if you use a high capacity charging point) it could be the perfect van for your business or lifestyle. With the availability of a rapid 30 minute charger, which gives 80% charge in the stated time, making it exempt from congestion charges and tax.

 4. Ability to drive inside

 5. Alternate energy source

Being azero emission van, the e-NV200 can also be used as an alternative energy source in case of a power shortage. The motor that powers the van is the same as the one that powers the LEAF, producing 254Nm of torque to reach a top speed of 76mph. This is cleverly reduced to 60mph when the battery charge is low.

 6. Safety

With safety a huge concern for all motorists, the e-NV200 has been reinvigorated from its NV200 predecessor due to the extra weight of its batteries. It is also fully equipped with hills start assist, a rear view camera and a reversing noise to warn others of your presence.
