Honda Bike CRF250R

Our new CRF250R is much lighter and armed with a brand-new frame, swingarm and Showa suspension. The engine? Even more powerful. Even more usable. Looking for results? This is the bike you have to have in your pit box.

The 250 MX class moves fast

We move faster.
The CRF250R now has the exact same HRC-developed chassis as the two times MXGP championship winning CRF450R. A full 3.8kg lighter, it also has updated Showa suspension and steering geometry. The 249.9cc DOHC engine's top-end is bolstered by strong mid-range, and now, an even stronger bottom-end for blistering drive.
Putting the power to the ground are a reinforced clutch and slick-shifting 6-speed gearbox, plus HRC Launch Control and 3-mode EMSB (Engine Model Select Button). Aggressive, minimal body work lets you move freely.
If you're ready for serious competition, make the CRF250R your tool of choice. It's what it's built for.

Razor-sharp, lightweight chassis

The tapered aluminium twin-spar frame now features narrower main tubes and a new rigidity balance - with 20% less lateral stiffness - to ramp up turn-in, mid corner and exit performance. Both top and bottom yokes and swingarm are tuned to match. The steering geometry is sharper, with increased ride height and ground clearance.

New Shona suspension

The fully adjustable 49mm Showa steel spring front fork has an extra 5mm stroke, and a full re-valve for increased front-end grip and rut ride-over. Also fully adjustable, the Showa rear shock has new, larger valving and a lightweight steel spring for faster response and bump absorption. The Pro-Link ratio is also re-set to match,

Go in fast, come out faster

Adding to the 249.9cc DOCH engine's incredible top-end power, we've injected it with an extra 15% more torque between 6-10,000rpm from a larger airbox, steeper injector angle, redesigned cylinder head and single-muffler exhaust. The radiators are the same size, but 6% more efficient.

High-energy powerhouse

The CRF250R’s 249.9cc DOHC engine adds extra low-down punch to its amazing mid-range and top-end hit, thanks to improved intake efficiency and single-muffler exhaust. Detail work around the cylinder head boosts oil flow and high-rpm valve timing accuracy, the piston and con-rod have been optimised, the clutch now has 9 plates and the gearbox sweeter-shifting, with new ratios ready to transmit the extra power. HRC Launch Control helps nail the start while 3-Mode EMSB (Engine Mode Select Button) adjusts power delivery. A new seat design and slimmer, minimal bodywork opens up movement and the Renthal Fatbar adjusts position to suit your style.
