The new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Plug-in Hybrid SUV enjoys the benefits of having both a two-litre petrol engine and twin electric motors. What’s more, it automatically chooses which is best for you in any given moment of your journey, producing a total range of 541 miles, whilst being able to achieve an electric-only range of 32 miles. Alternatively, you are free to take manual control and choose which system you want to use, so you could do your daily journey all electric, for example. Overall, the new Outlander PHEV produces CO2 emissions of only 42g/km. What’s more, you’ll get a free Chargemaster Homecharger and six months’ free use of the UK’s largest charging network. Regenerative braking also assists the Outlander to maximise its charge.
Technology available includes the Mitsubishi Multi Communication System to put you in control of your entertainment, communications and navigation. Features include Bluetooth for your phone connection, satellite navigation and a DAB radio. Also included in the system is all the information you need to monitor your battery usage and compare it with previous journeys. There’s also a smartphone app available for both Android and IOS devices that you can use to remotely control the Outlander’s charging function, as well as remotely setting the climate control.
