The result? Reliability backed up by Kia’s unique seven-year warranty, and a new car in which you can have complete confidence.
The Kia seven-year warranty – FAQs
Does the Kia seven-year warranty apply to all Kia models?
If you registered your new Kia before 1 January 2010, you’re covered. For information on warranty periods for new Kia cars registered before 1 January 2010, please click here.
Does seven years really mean seven years?
Your Kia warranty covers you for seven years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first from the date of your Kia’s first registration. What’s more, in the first three years of your new Kia ownership, you have unlimited mileage cover.
Do you offer extended Kia warranties?
Sorry, your new Kia seven-year / 100,000-mile warranty is already an industry leading and unique warranty, so we are unable to offer extended warranties.
What exactly is covered by my Kia warranty?
You’re covered for the total cost of the parts and associated labour for any successful warranty claim. However, there are some consumable items which are not covered, such as wiper blades and clutch linings, whilst the battery is covered for two years and the navigation/audio system is covered for three years or 60,000 miles. Your paint warranty covers you for five years or 100,000 miles.
Please see the full details of the warranty terms and exclusions here.
Am I covered if I’m a taxi driver or I drive my Kia for business?
There are no differences to the Kia warranty for fleets and company car drivers. Taxi drivers, however, enjoy cover for a maximum of 100,000 miles only.
If I sell my car, can I transfer any remaining warranty to the new owner?
Yes, you can. Any remaining warranty can be transferred to any subsequent owner of the vehicle.
Why is it that no other manufacturer offers a seven-year warranty?
Advanced manufacturing processes and rigorous testing ensure the highest quality standards have been adhered to throughout the production of your new Kia. This gives us the confidence to be able to offer all our new Kia customers such a unique and comprehensive, long-term warranty.
Does my new Kia have similar anti-perforation coverage?
All new Kia vehicles have a minimum anti-perforation warranty of seven years or 100,000 miles, whilst some are covered for a period of up to 12 years. To maintain your anti-perforation warranty, you’ll need to have your Kia bodywork inspected at regular intervals for which you may be charged.
