It’s Picanto and more

The Kia Picanto is one of Kia’s best-selling cars for good reason, and the Picanto X-Line will incorporate many of the features that make the other top Picanto models so popular. Outside, there’ll be 16” aluminium alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, LED fog lamps and a shark-fin antenna. Use the keyless entry and you’ll find aluminium pedals, a sporty D-cut steering wheel, 7” touchscreen, providing the human-machine interface to the navigation with 3D maps, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can also specify a rear-view parking camera, a wireless smartphone charger and a USB port.

Safety

The X-Line joins a Picanto line-up that is already the safest range ever produced by Kia in the segment. Thanks to its advanced high strength steel body and the six air bags fitted as standard, with the option of a knee bag as well, the Picanto comes with impeccable passive safety credentials. Active safety systems are also a feature of the Picanto X-line, including vehicle stability management with electronic stability control, whilst you can additionally specify autonomous emergency braking to help prevent an accident from ever occurring.

Rugged good looks

It wouldn’t be a Kia without the tiger-nose grille, and on the X-Line the grille and fog lamp surrounds stand out, thanks to the lime green highlights, although silver highlights are available as an option. Underscoring the grille is the SUV-style front bumper with go-anywhere skidplates, a design that is also mirrored in the rear bumper. The X-Line stands 15mm higher off the ground to give the driver excellent all-round visibility, and the extra height is emphasised by the black cladding on the wheelarches.

Kia Picanto X-Line Interior

Take a look on the wild inside

New interior contrast colour packs are available to allow your choice for how you want your X-Line to look. But the inside doesn’t just look great, it’s highly practical too. The class-leading internal space means you get more head room and more leg room than with any of Picanto’s rivals in the segment. You’ll also have enough space for all your luggage with the class-leading space of 255 litres, whilst the 60:40 split rear seats fold down flat to give a total of 1,010 litres of space.

Kia Picanto X-Line Design

Get the most powerful Picanto ever

It’s all down to the three-cylinder 1.0-litre T-GDI engine, previously only available on the bigger cee’d and Rio models. It’s more powerful and light too, making the X-Line fun to drive with a power output of 100PS and 172Nm of torque. It’s also good to know that CO2 emissions are only 104g/km, although the X-Line is capable of 0-62mph in 10.1 seconds.

The Kia Picanto X-Line is rugged, fun and powerful, as well as benefitting, like all Kia cars, from the equally rugged and powerful seven-year warranty, a feel-good factor unique to Kia. For all the details about pricing and specification on this new model, just register your interest below.
