Upgraded Picanto driver assistance
The upgraded 2020 Picanto now comes with a host of connectivity, driver assistance and safety features, often reserved for larger models. ‘Phase II’ UVO Connect telematics give owners an enhanced user experience, onboard and via Kia’s UVO smartphone app.
The new Picanto is among the safest cars in its class too, now with extra driver assistance technology. Depending on the model specification, upgrades include forward collision avoidance assist, blind-spot collision avoidance assist, lane-keeping assist, a driver attention warning system and lane following assist.
Lane following assist is an innovative assistance system that uses a front-facing camera and sensors to monitor road markings. The car can automatically control the steering and throttle on the move to ensure it stays centrally placed in the lane.
Drivers will also benefit from Emergency Stop Signal assistance. If the driver has to brake suddenly, the hazard warning lights automatically flash to alert the car behind.
The new Picanto 2020 will be on sale in the autumn at your local Brayley Kia dealer, with prices and exact specifications to be confirmed. And like every new Kia, the 2020 Picanto comes with the unique Kia 7-Year, 100,000-mile warranty as standard.
