48-volt mild hybrid (MHEV) now available for all Ceed diesel models

Known for being Kia’s cleanest diesel engine, the Smartstream ‘U3’ 1.6-litre CRDi is now available on all Ceed diesels paired with the EcoDynamics+ 48-volt mild hybrid system. This brings major gains in fuel efficiency and emissions reduction, along with the performance benefits of electric torque assistance.

The new intelligent Manual Transmission is a ‘clutch-by-wire’ system. It increases fuel efficiency, while reducing CO2 emissions by some 3%. It also brings you all the driver engagement of a conventional manual transmission. The clutch pedal offers more control and a smoother gear change too.
