Brayley Kia Oxford Sales Manager Geoff Stevens comments:
‘For a while now people have been curious about cars that are electric and hybrid, but since summer last year we have seen a surge in interest that seems to be sustained. It may be a while before people stop buying petrol and diesel cars - which I should point out are cleaner than they have ever been - but I am sure that the new technologies are here to stay. People’s environmental consciousness is definitely increasing.’
In response, Brayley Kia are investing in additional training of the dealership’s sales executives so that they are able to better advise customers of the alternative fuel choice available – mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid, self-charging hybrid and full electric.
Says Geoff, ‘if anyone is curious about the options available, I’d welcome them to come down and see us and we’ll happily explain the various technologies and their merits. It might be that they don’t buy a Kia, or aren’t in the market for a car at the moment, but we’re still happy to assist people’s understanding if we can.’
