Kia 7 Year Warranty

100,000 miles / 7 years: the unique Kia warranty from Brayley Kia

You get ‘guaranteed' peace of mind, when you buy any new Kia. If you purchase a Kia car, you’ve got the unique Kia seven-year or 100,000-mile (whichever comes first) warranty and, for the first three years of driving your new Kia, there’s no mileage limit.

Such a comprehensive, long-term warranty just goes to show how much confidence Kia has in all its new cars. Every new Kia undergoes a series of tough quality checks at the Kia factory and then, at your Brayley Kia dealership, we subject your new Kia to another series of checks at its Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI). The result? Reliability backed up by Kia’s unique seven-year warranty, and a new car in which you can have complete confidence.

The Kia seven-year warranty – FAQs

Does the Kia seven-year warranty apply to all Kia models?

All Kia models are subjected to extensive quality checks which is why a 7 year manufacturer’s warranty can be confidently offered across our entire range of vehicles.

Does seven years really mean seven years?

Your Kia warranty covers you for seven years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first from the date of your Kia’s first registration. What’s more, in the first three years of your new Kia ownership, you have unlimited mileage cover.

Do you offer extended Kia warranties?

Sorry, your new Kia seven-year / 100,000-mile warranty is already an industry leading and unique warranty, so we are unable to offer extended warranties.

What exactly is covered by my Kia warranty?

You’re covered for the total cost of the parts and associated labour for any successful warranty claim. However, there are some consumable items which are not covered, such as wiper blades and clutch linings, whilst the battery is covered for two years and the navigation/audio system is covered for three years or 60,000 miles. Your paint warranty covers you for five years or 100,000 miles.

Please see the full details of the warranty terms and exclusions here.

Am I covered if I’m a taxi driver or I drive my Kia for business?

If a customer uses a Kia car as a taxi or for private hire, the warranty period is 84 months or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. It will need to have been registered as a taxi in line with our procedures, or it will only be covered for 60,000 miles.

If I sell my car, can I transfer any remaining warranty to the new owner?

Yes, you can. Any remaining warranty can be transferred to any subsequent owner of the vehicle.

Why is it that no other manufacturer offers a seven-year warranty?

Advanced manufacturing processes and rigorous testing ensure the highest quality standards have been adhered to throughout the production of your new Kia. This gives us the confidence to be able to offer all our new Kia customers such a unique and comprehensive, long-term warranty.

Does my new Kia have similar anti-perforation coverage?

Kia warrants that the body sheet metal parts* of a new Kia car are free of defects in material or workmanship that lead to perforation (holes through the body panel from the inside out) as a result of corrosion – we’ve set out the exceptions to this below. An authorised Kia dealer will either repair or replace – at no cost – any sheet metal panel* that has perforated due to corrosion resulting from defects in material or workmanship.

*Roof panel, doors, bonnet, tailgate, boot lid, sills, pillars, front wings, rear quarter panels and rear panel.
