Enhanced performance The new CB125R has undergone a number of improvements, one of which ensures that it’s finally Euro 5-compliant. In so doing, a single overhead camshaft engine has been replaced by a dual overhead camshaft (DOHC) powerplant, still measuring 125cc but delivering more power and torque than ever. Speaking of which, the bike produces a maximum 14.8bhp at 10,000rpm and a peak torque of 11.6Nm at 8,000rpm, enabling a super-low 50g/km CO2 emission figure. Another important upgrade is to the bike’s suspension, which comes in the shape of a 41-millimetre Showa Separate Function front Fork-Big Piston – which is a first for a 125cc bike of any description. As the name suggests, this premium set-up allows for separate fork functionality, the left fork featuring a damping cartridge and the right fork containing a pneumatic air sprint. The result?
