REFINED FOR THE RACETRACK

The Type R is based on the lighter, more rigid body shell of the Civic Hatchback. Then further modifications are made such as adding more adhesive in key areas. The result is torsional rigidity increased by 38% over the previous Type R. The front Macpherson strut suspension of the standard hatchback is improved and updated. The revised geometry minimises torque steer and maximises agility, feedback and control. The independent multi-link system of the Civic is upgraded with the use of unique high-rigidity suspension arms.

Sharper, harder and more composed, the Civic Type R will perform flawlessly on any road and on every racetrack.

AERODYNAMICS ENHANCED

The Civic Type R has an aerodynamic package that has been shaped by years of experience on the racetrack, as well as in the wind tunnel.
