Thinking about buying or leasing a new electric car? Now is the perfect time, thanks to the government's £650 million EV grant scheme. 

This scheme is designed to accelerate the UK's transition to electric motoring ahead of the 2030 ban on new petrol or diesel car sales. The grant can apply a discount of up to £3,750 on eligible EV's with a starting price at or below £37,000. 

There are two bands for the grant, with certain cars eligible for the maximum discount of £3,750 and others receiving the lower band of discount, at £1,500.
