DACIA SANDERO STEPWAY – THE NEW DESIGN

Easy to recognise, the Sandero Stepway has always benefited from raised ground clearance and a bold, all-road attitude. Now, the restyled All-New Sandero Stepway has a distinctive ribbed and domed bonnet, chrome under-grille logo and grille, and curved fenders above the fog lights.

Dacia has enhanced the assertive looks of the Stepway with its brand-new Y-shaped light signature. The new front and rear optic design extends the lighting lines for a distinctive, broader look. Standard versions come with 16-inch Flexwheels, while exclusive 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels are available on the new Prestige trim level.

CROSSOVER STYLE

The All-New Stepway offers 174 mm ground clearance – that’s an increase of 41 mm compared with the Sandero. The new front and rear bumpers include a metal skid plate designed to give protection from everyday scratches. Reinforced door bottoms further highlight the crossover design. The All-New Stepway’s modular roof bars can transform into a roof rack with a load capacity of up to 80kg in just a few seconds, using the special key.

ALL-NEW SANDERO POWER OPTIONS

The new Sandero offers a range of efficient petrol and LPG Bi-Fuel powertrain options. Complying with the full Euro 6d emissions standards, these engines offer more power with lower emissions. The All-New Stepway engine line-up features:

  • TCe 90: turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder motor with six-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission
  • TCe 100 Bi-Fuel: new LPG bi-fuelled turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder power unit paired with a six-speed manual transmission

The All-New Sandero Bi-Fuel produces 11% less CO2 emissions than an equivalent petrol engine on average. You’ll also benefit from a better range of more than 800 miles from the two tanks combined: 50 litres from the petrol tank and 40 litres from the LPG tank. Dacia is the only manufacturer to offer LPG Bi-Fuel across the range. What’s more, the LPG Bi-Fuel versions offer the same warranty, servicing and boot space as the petrol versions.

ON-THE-ROAD PERFORMANCE

In addition to the new powertrain options, you’ll notice a more responsive drive, thanks to transmission, suspension and steering upgrades:

  • New CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) automatic gearbox – for smoother gear changes
  • Power steering – for better driving comfort and manoeuvrability
  • New front axle with rectangular suspension arms – for better shock absorption and handling
  • Extended wheelbase – for improved stability
  • Stop&Start – turns the engine off when you come to a stop and restarts as soon as you pull away again

Plus, the Stepway’s new CMF modular platform combines more resistance and rigidity with less weight. The CMF also reduces emissions, while complying with more stringent crash-test requirements.

INTERIOR – CROSSOVER PRACTICALITY

Inside the All-New Stepway, the upholstery is now customised with the Stepway logo, while the door panels and dashboard feature exclusive orange fabric inserts and edging. The new front seats provide higher levels of comfort and support with a wider range of adjustments.

The split-fold rear bench seat has an additional 42mm of space compared to the previous model. It can seat three adults in comfort. As you’d expect, there’s plenty of practical space inside the Stepway. There are up to 21 litres of storage under the central armrest, in the front and rear doors and in the back of the front seats. The generous 328-litre boot also features a flat floor with height adjustment.

The All-New Stepway Prestige comes with automatic air-conditioning and a new digital display as standard. There’s also a remote boot release, an electric parking brake, a reversing camera, front and rear parking sensors and automatic windscreen wipers.

NEW CONNECTIVITY

The All-New Stepway is switched on when it comes to multimedia infotainment and connectivity, thanks to Media Control and Media Nav. The Media Control transforms your smartphone into a remote multimedia system via the new free Dacia Media Control app and a Bluetooth or USB connection. Linked to the 3.5-inch TFT digital display, music, calls, messages and sat nav apps become fast and easy, as well as safer.

With Media Nav, the console features a large 8.0-inch touchscreen with onboard navigation, specific driver assistance and safety settings. You’ll find wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus six speakers for the sound system.

ENHANCED SAFETY DRIVER ASSISTANCE

In addition to the speed limiter, Dacia’s latest ESP system and steering-wheel-mounted cruise control, the All-New Stepway comes with a wide range of advanced driver-assistance systems:

  • Emergency brake assist – applies braking if there is a risk of collision with the vehicle in front, active at 4-106mph
  • Blind spot warning – warns the driver of a risk of collision with another vehicle when changing lanes, active at 19-87mph
  • Park assist – four radar sensors and a rear-view camera with dynamic guiding lines make parking the new Stepway easy
  • Hill start assist – pulling away on a hill becomes easy, as the car is prevented from rolling back

The All-New Stepway also comes with:

  • Six airbags with early side-impact detection
  • Seatbelt load-limiters
  • Front and rear seatbelt pretensioners
  • New front seats with anti-whiplash head restraints
  • Emergency call system (SOS button located next to the dome light in the front of the car).
