Dacia Reliability – Are Dacia cars reliable?
We take an in-depth look at Dacia Reliability 2021
Are Dacia cars reliable? The short answer is yes, the longer answer is very reliable and surprisingly so. Yet some car-buyers out there still seem to be concerned about Dacia reliability. We’re here to drive away any myths you may have heard about Dacia cars and show you what the numbers say top prove just how reliable Dacia really is.
The reason reliability may come to mind is just how much car you get for so little money. Ever since Dacia landed on British shores back in 2013, its models have been some of the most affordable new cars you can buy by quite some margin. Even with slight price rises over the years, the Sandero is still the cheapest new car you can buy in Britain.
It’s not just the on the road price that impresses either. The latest Dacia deals and new car offers mean you could be driving a brand new car for as little as £99 a month with 6.9% APR*. No other brand can come close in terms of offering that much car for so little money.
So perhaps that may be the reason a few people question Dacia reliability; they see a very affordable car and some how put ‘affordable’ and ‘unreliable’ together. But that simply isn’t the case.
Are Dacia cars reliable? What the numbers say
In 2016 Dacia was placed third for dependability in the Auto Express Power Driver Survey scoring 96.17 out of 100. So who came first and second? Tesla and Lexus, both premium brands commanding a much higher price for any of their vehicles. In fact, the cheapest Tesla costs more than five times as much as the cheapest Dacia.
Even when looking at the most popular Dacia models, the Duster and the Sandero received an average score of 87.83% as voted for by owners in the Auto Express survey. And what was the thing owners liked the most about their cars? Reliability came out as number one.
